Fitness Classes

The RM of St. Clements is working to improve recreation opportunities in the municipality to strengthen our sense of community and foster healthy lifestyles.

In the South St. Clements Recreation Needs Assessment (2013), residents expressed a need for seniors’ recreational opportunities and connecting with neighbours.

The RM is pleased to offer, for the first time ever, two fitness classes for those aged 55+ in south St. Clements:

  • Moving with Muscle 55+
  • Yoga/Pilates 55+

Register online below or in person in January (date and location to be announced). If you register online, you will pay an additional fee of $2.62 for online payment processing.

Instructor Heather Bailey has been trained and certified through the Manitoba Fitness Council. A trained leader understands and implements safety, injury prevention, and movement adaptation so participants exercise at a safe level that minimizes injury.

These classes were funded with support from the province of Manitoba.

Moving with Muscle – 55+

This class keeps the body moving and strong! The workout alternates muscle conditioning exercises (using weights, bands, even your own body weight) with low impact moves that are adaptable to any fitness level.

This class is exercise disguised as fun.

Dates: Tuesdays starting February 12, 2019 ending April 16, 2019
Time: 9 am to 10 am
Cost: $80.00 for 10 classes (only $8 per class!)

Yoga/pilates – Combo Class 55+

This class is aimed at lengthening & toning the body to create balance & alignment as well as mindful state of peace and clarity.

Get ready to stretch, strengthen & tone through a blend of yoga and pilates set to music.

Bring your own mat and hand weights!

Dates: Thursdays starting February 14, 2019 ending April 18, 2019
Time: 9 am to 10 am
Cost: $80.00 for 10 classes (only $8 per class!)
